Mr. Alex Li
President of Can-Achieve Consultants (2010) Ltd
Mr. Alex Li, Founder of Can-Achieve Consultants, immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong in 1989. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a diploma of Management Studies from the Hong Kong Polytechnic College, and is member of the British Institute of Management. Mr. Li held a number of management positions in various manufacturing and service companies in the 1980s and early 1990s.
Since immigrating to Canada, Mr. Li has worked in the immigration consulting industry for several years and incorporated Can-Achieve in 1994. Through his leadership the company grew from a single office with a few employees to a large firm with hundreds of employees. Mr. Li has opened branch offices throughout the world, becoming a leader in the industry. Can-Achieve has processed thousands of client applications and today is one of the largest Canadian immigration firms. At each step along the way, Mr. Li’s business acumen, organizing abilities and management expertise have been integral to the success of Can-Achieve.
Mr. Li is an active member of the Vancouver business community and a leader among Chinese Canadians in the B.C. Lower Mainland. He was nominated and a finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Award in 2001. This program was founded by Ernest & Young to honour entrepreneurs whose ingenuity, hard work and perseverance have created and sustained successful and growing business ventures. More than 150 entrepreneurs were nominated nation-wide, with 32 entrepreneurs in 8 categories from the Pacific region.
In 2003 and 2005, Mr. Li was also nominated for the “Entrepreneur of The Year” Award in the professional/financial services category.
Mr. Li is currently the Vice President and Secretary General of the Canada Dongguan Entrepreneurs Federation. He is also the executive representative of the Dongguan Economic Development Corporation. A key to Mr. Li’s business success is a combination of extraordinary management and business skills.
